On Saturday evening is a game that will probably be the most important game in Group E – the meeting between an underperforming Spain and a pretty bad Poland. If the polish team loses this game, their EURO 2020-adventure will come to an end, securing a top-3 slot for Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. With the defending that they do and the capabilities that Spain (with home field advantage) really has, I can only see this one ending in a crushing victory for “La Roja”.
Spain did not manage to score against Sweden and it seems like their team is really, really missing a good number 9-type-player. Morata/Moreno does not look good enough to carry them far in this tournament, but with Poland’s shocking defending against the likes of Slovakia and the game against Island just before the EURO 2021 championship – there is a lot of hope Spain can score at least a couple here.
Spain will beat Poland
Three points for “La Roja” would more than likely secure them a playoff-spot together with Sweden and looking through the squad in a Poland that are missing three potential starting players in Piątek, Milik and Krychowiak – the team looks kinda weak apart from Lewandowski and Zielinski.
I think Spain will batter Poland here, potentially with 3/4–0. Poland did not look good at all against Slovakia, Poland need points here so even if they are losing they will have to go forward and open up to concede goals, and in the end this will cost them in my opinion.
The bet will be: Spain To Win –1.5 @ odds 2.04 on Expekt.
Five reasons why I like this bet:
- Not impressed by Poland at all
- Spain will be super hungry to give the homefans a show after 0-0 last time
- Poland are missing Piątek, Milik and Krychowiak
- Poland has to open up and go forward if they concede 1-0
- Spain really wants to show the world how good they can be
