There is now only one game left until we see the EURO 2020-final between Italy and the winner of Denmark & England. At 21:00 CET on the 7th of July 2021 it all kicks off at Wembley Stadium in London and we have a good pick for tonight’s action down below.
The english have reached the semifinals in the Euros and are yet to concede a single goal in the tournament – a massive achievement. Their defense looks rock-solid with Phillips/Rice protecting the central defending-duo Stones/Maguire, with Pickford making some crucial saves in the goal. All over a safe and solid defending unit for the Three Lions.
However, it is the chances created that this team has struggled with. England are 19th place in total attempts in a tournament consisting of 24 teams in total – that is extremely bad. On the other hand, they really opened the floodgates last game and smashed in 4 goals against Ukraine, so it seems to me like they now have found a path to score goals.
Denmark have scored 10 goals in the last three games, but I do not think they have been extremely impressive after all. The opposition have been by far a lower level than England and they will now play in London without any danish fans in the arena – a very tough game awaits them for sure.
The bet will be: England To Win 1X2 @ odds 1.74 at Expekt Sports.
I think England wins this in regular time. Odds are pretty high, fans will be crazy and it seems like the english are on a real mission to get it to come home. Below we take a look at the starting elevens, with Saka’s place being doubtful.
England predicted starting eleven:
Pickford (GK) – Shaw, Maguire, Stones, Walker, Rice, Phillips, Mount, Sterling, Kane, Saka.
Denmark predicted starting eleven:
Schmeichel (GK) – Vestergaard, Kjaer, Christensen, Stryger Larsen, Maehle, Delaney, Höijberg, Damsgaard, Braithwaite, Dolberg.
Five reasons why it is a good bet:
- Homefield advantage with no danish fans
- Wembley will be electric
- England still has not conceded a goal
- Denmark’s opponents so far has been lower level
- Harry Kane have started scoring again
