The Champions League carries on this Wednesday and we have found two gems to report on. Betting picks on Champions League are usually not filled with value due to it being the most high profile league in the world, but the two picks we like the most follow below.

Benfica v. Bayern Munich: Bayern -1.5 Goals @ 2.0 on Expekt
One of the easiest betting picks to argue for is Munich to smash their opponents in almost every game – something we think will happen during Wednesday evening. Bayern looked a bit stiff during the start of their new manager Nagelsmann, but the last two months or so it is pretty clear that they look better than ever. Benfica are in for a rough one here.
Munich started their CL campaign beating Barcelona 0-3 at Camp Nou, and then making the process short with Dynamo Kiev (5-0) the next game. If anyone watched their game against Leverkusen during the weekend (1-5), it was pretty obvious they could have been 0-8 up during the first half.
No key injuries to any players in the Bayern squad except for Davies, but with Hernandez in the form of his life that fact should not matter. The odds we get on them beating Benfica with at least two goals make my mouth water. Let’s go!
Sidepick: Bayern over 1.5 first half
Why this Betting Pick:
- Bayern are looking better than ever
- No offensive injuries for Bayern
- Bayern hit this line last 6 away games
- Benfica rarely keeps a clean sheet at home
- A win here secures a playoff spot for Bayern
Chelsea v. Malmö: Chelsea -2.5 Goals @ 1.90 on Expekt
Malmö are probably the best Scandinavia has to offer, but in the Champions League they have absolutely nothing to offer. Malmö also have some very bad injuries for this clash, missing several KEY defensive players. Malmö will play without their defending star Ahmedhodzic, the danish defender Knudsen, the experienced Lewicki and a few others. Add in the fact that Malmö are currently in a hard battle with two other teams to win the Swedish league – a recipe for disaster here.
Even if Chelsea usually don’t win by a lot of goals, they could probably play youngsters here and still smash the swedes. These teams faced each other two years ago and a weakened Chelsea-side still scored five times. This would also be a great opportunity for Lukaku to find the net again. I think this pick is the best pick of this whole CL-round and I can see this ending in a disaster for Malmö. Maybe 5-0?
Sidepick: -3.5 Chelsea
Why this Betting Pick:
- Chelsea are just too good
- Defensive Malmö-star Ahmedhodzic suspended
- Malmö are pretty shit away from home
- Malmö focused on gold in Allsvenskan
