Allsvenskan has started back up again after the summer break. We have a bet that does not look too good on the surface, but there is some major skill differentials in the two teams.
Today, IFK Göteborg will play at home 17:30 CET – with star-players Marcus Berg and Oscar Wendt coming back to the team again for the first time after 10+ years away in bigger clubs from Europe.
The hosts, who up until recently had Marek Hamsik in the squad, took their first win in 9 games last outing against Östersund. They have a chance to start a little win streak if they beat Mjällby, which is something I think they will do.
IFK has a way better squad with better players on almost all positions, and with 10.000 fans being allowed into the stadium, this bet looks very interesting. Looking at the form, neither team impresses, but given the boost Göteborg will get from their “legends” returning to the squad here, combined with the fact that the new coach Mikale Stahre got his first win last time out, it is a bet that feels comfortable.
The bet will be: IFK To Win 1×2 @ odds 1.78 on Expekt Sports.
Why I like this bet:
- IFK has a much better squad
- 10.000 Fans are allowed back
- Marcus Berg returns from Krasnodar
- Oscar Wendt returns from Mönchengladbach
- New coach got first win last game
IFK Göteborg To Win @ odds 1.78 on Expekt Sports.
